Overall goal is to create a bigger but less intrusive footprint within the community to strengthen law enforcement capabilities while maintaining proper fiscal responsibility.
I. In county multi jurisdiction drug task force that is long term organizationally focused.
II. Commerce focused. Lawfully conduct seizures of fines and assets. Returning the loss to the community and the fight against the drug industry. We will drive the risk of business cost up and focus on creating greater revenue risk for the drug industry in Suwannee County. This is how we will win!
III. Rescue the addict, intervene early in a child’s life.
A. Rescue the addict is creating outlets for recovery and encouraging participation through accountability programs like drug court, percentage stays, and work release programs. (Rescue to Rescue the Warrior program)
B. Intervening in a child’s life by program related relationship builders in the schools. With parent permission and participation, we can utilize programs like R.A.D. Kids, L.E.A.D., Know the Law, Summer Deputies Program and others to build early relationships with our children. (A link in the chain is that we also create an investment into future deputies that represent this community)
IV. Advisory Panel. This is a panel of twenty-five to thirty people who are made up of a variety of recovered addicts and family members, medical and treatment personnel, school district representatives, lawyers, law enforcement professionals and clergy. This is a "Think Tank" group that will oversee and hold accountable the program as it proceeds.
